# Cookie Notice — Tally

## The short version

This website uses cookies for two purposes: **analytics**, to understand which
parts of the page are useful, and **advertising**, to measure which campaign
brought you here and to show you our ads elsewhere.

**Both are on by default.** A banner appears on your first visit, and choosing
**Reject** switches both off straight away — no further analytics or advertising
cookies are set and no data about your visit is sent. Your choice is remembered,
so you are only asked once.

## What is stored

Unless you reject:

- **Analytics.** Google Analytics sets `_ga` and `_ga_<id>` cookies to recognise
  a returning browser, for up to 2 years.
- **Advertising.** Google sets cookies used to measure which advert led to a
  visit and to show our adverts on other sites. Set by Google and governed by how
  Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- **Your choice and your first campaign.** We store your consent decision and the
  campaign you first arrived from, for 180 days. The consent record is kept
  whichever way you choose, so a rejection sticks.

Submitting the demo request form sends what you typed to our server, which is
covered by the [privacy policy](https://tallyflows.com/legal/privacy.md) rather
than this notice. Our web server keeps standard request logs for 90 days.

## What we do not do

- We do not sell what we collect.
- We do not send your name, email, company or anything you type into the demo
  form to Google — only whether a field was filled and how long it was.
- We do not use any of this to make automated decisions about you.

## Changing your mind

Your choice is remembered for 180 days. To change it or be asked again sooner,
clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings.

## The Tally product

The Tally dashboard, behind a login, uses a strictly necessary session cookie to
keep you signed in; strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. The
Telegram bot uses no cookies, and Telegram's own app is governed by Telegram's
privacy policy.

## If this changes

If we later add any further non-essential technology we will update this notice
and bring it under the same banner and the same choice, so rejecting continues to
cover everything rather than only what was here when you chose.
